Our Mission, Vision and Values

As Australia’s Brain Injury Organisation, we are proud of our leading brain injury knowledge which ensures we provide specialist housing and relevant and tailored information, services and support for Australians with brain injury and disability, carers, family members and organisations.

Synapses are the connecting points between each human brain’s 100 billion brain cells. Every brain has trillions of synapses and brain cells communicate with one another across them. In this same spirit, we understand that by connecting individuals to support networks within communities and to the right organisations, we can create large-scale change where whole sections of society who are disadvantaged are connected to specialist support services. While Synapse has national reach, we know that local community is the key ingredient to making a real difference. By bringing people together to think creatively and ask different questions, we can create new solutions for people impacted by brain injury.
